Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team immediately at our Forest Hills, PA office. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of HR functions. The intern will provide administrative support and assist with the daily operations of the HR department, with a particular focus on recruitment administrative tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the office in Forest Hills, PA, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources management.
  • Handle recruitment administrative tasks including scheduling interviews, posting job ads, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
  • Work within HRIS (Paycom) to ensure data integrity, maintain compliance with federal and state requirements, and report accurate and timely information.
  • Process employee status changes in the HRIS including new hires, transfers, terminations, and compensation adjustments.
  • Assist with payroll processing and serve as a backup when necessary.
  • Manage the background check and drug testing process for new hires.
  • Provide support with workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Promptly respond to employee questions, demonstrating professionalism and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Run ad hoc HR reports as needed.
  • Complete employment verifications via phone, email, mail, and fax.
  • Support employee recognition programs and assist in planning employee events.
  • Provide administrative support for various Operations team projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (preferably Paycom) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and data management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
